Medical Equipment Grant Donation Project

FPA India provides family planning and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services through 40 clinics. The clinics need medical and surgical equipment and instruments for clinical and surgical services, which are highly resource-intensive.

Considering the need to upgrade the clinics through high-end equipment, Mahindra and Mahindra Financial Services Limited (MMFSL) provided a Medical Equipment Donation Grant to FPA India for upgradation of clinics with surgical equipment and instruments. The support from MMFSL started in 2015.

The grant was utilised to procure medical and surgical equipment such as laparoscopes, colposcope sets, ultrasonography machines, hydraulic OT tables, shadowless OT lights, Boyles apparatus, pulse oximeters, autoclaves, folding gynaec tables, fogging machines, generators, inverters and various laboratory equipment.

The grant helped FPA India clinics to lower the cost of service delivery for providing essential SRH services to poor and marginalised populations at low cost.
